Abstract

ABSTRACT

The implementation of a Hospital Management Information System (HMIS/SIMRS) is intended to improve operational efficiency and enhance the quality of patient services. However, limited quantitative studies have specifically measured service quality changes before and after the implementation of SIMRS. This study aims to determine the effect of SIMRS implementation on the quality of patient services. The research employed a pre-experimental design using a one-group pre-test and post-test approach. A total of 40 patients were selected through purposive sampling as research respondents. Data were collected using a service quality questionnaire administered before and after SIMRS implementation. The educational intervention was not applied, but service processes were evaluated based on patient perceptions of service performance. The results showed that the average pre-test service quality score was 60%, which increased to 88% in the post-test. This indicates a 28% improvement in service quality after SIMRS implementation. The study concludes that SIMRS implementation has a positive effect on improving patient service quality and supports faster, more accurate, and more integrated hospital services.
