Oral thrush is one of the common problems in infants. Oral thrush in infants is a layer or yellowish-white patches that appear on the tongue that may be surrounded by redness. Oral thrush in infants occurs 7-10 days after delivery. This disease occurs due to a fungal infection (Candida albicans) which is an organism that inhabits the skin and mucosa of the mouth, vagina, and digestive tract. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge of mothers about oral thrush in infants in Pargarutan Dolok Village, Angkola Timur District, South Tapanuli Regency in 2015. This study was conducted from February to June 2014. This type of research is quantitative with a descriptive design. The population of this study was 31 mothers who had infants and the number of samples was 31 mothers who had infants. Sampling was carried out using the total sampling method. The type of data used in this study is primary data using a questionnaire and secondary data by taking data from the research location.
