PENGETAHUAN IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER III TENTANG PIJAT PERINEUM DI PRAKTIK MANDIRI BIDAN LINNI HAPNI KOTA PADANGSIDIMPUAN TAHUN 2025

Abstract

According to World Health Organization (WHO) data, there are 2.7 million cases of perineal rupture in maternity mothers, expected to reach 6.3 million in 2020. In Asian perineal rupture in society, 50% of the incidence of perineal rupture in the world. Perineal massage is a technique of massaging the perineum during pregnancy or a few weeks before giving birth to increase blood flow and increase elasticity in the perineal area. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge of third trimester pregnant women about Perineal Massage in the Independent Practice of Midwife Linni Hapni Padangsidimpuan City in 2025, based on Age, Education, Work and Gravida. In the independent practice of midwife Linni Hapni Padangsidimpuan City in 2025. The type of research used with descriptive methods uses primary data, with a total of 30 respondents with a sample of 25 respondents. The characteristics of respondents are age, education, occupation and gravida. From the results of the study that the knowledge of III trimester pregnant women about Perineal Massage Independent Practice of Midwives Linni Hapni Padangsidimpuan City in 2025 respondents with less knowledge 13 people (52%), enough knowledge 9 people (36%), and good knowledge 3 people (12%). Based on the results of the research that has been conducted, respondents are expected to increase knowledge by obtaining sources of information from health workers through counseling or other media.
