PENGETAHUAN IBU HAMIL TENTANG PENGARUH INISIASI MENYUSUI DINI TERHADAP PENCEGAHAN HIPOTERMI PADA BAYI BARU LAHIR DI PRAKTEK BIDAN WAHYUNI DESA SALAMBUE KECAMATAN PANYABUNGAN KABUPATEN MANDAILING NATAL TAHUN 2024

Abstract

Hypothermia of newborns iscaused by insufficient knowledge about proper care of newborns. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), almost all (98%) of the five neonatal deaths occur in developing countries. More than two – thirds of the deaths occurred in early neonates and 42 %.

The aim of this research is to determine the knowledge of pregnant women regarding the effect of early nitiation of breastfeeding on the prevention of hypothermia in newborns in the ptactice of midwives Wahyuni, Salambue village, panyabungan distrct,Mandailing Natal regency in 2024, based on age, parity, education, occupation. In the practice of midwife Wahyuni in Salambue village, Panyabungan district, Mandailing Regency, chistmas 2024.

The type of reseacth used was a descriptive mothod using primary data, with a total 32 respondents with a sample of 32 respondents. Respondents characteristics areage, parity, education, occupation.

From the result of the research, the knowledge of pregnant women regarding thr influence of early initation of breastfeeding on the prevention of hypothermia in newborns babies in the practice of midwives in Wahyuni, Salambue village, Panyabungan district, Mandailing Natal regency in 2024, Respondens with less knowledge, 17 people, are knowledgeable., 8 people areenough, and 5 people have god knowledge.

Based on the results of the research that has been conducted, it is hoped that respondents will increase their knowledge by obtaining source of information from health works through counselling ot other media.
