PENGETAHUAN IBU TENTANG PRENATAL YOGA DI DESA PALOPAT PIJORKOLING
Abstract
ABSTRACT
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) remains very high; approximately 810 women die daily worldwide due to complications related to pregnancy or childbirth, and around 295,000 women died during and after pregnancy and childbirth in 2020. The maternal mortality ratio in developing countries reaches 462 per 100,000 live births, whereas in developed countries, it is 11 per 100,000 live births. The maternal mortality ratio in ASEAN is 235 per 100,000 live births.
The objective of this study was to assess mothers' knowledge regarding prenatal yoga in Palopat Pijorkoling Village, categorized by age, education, and occupation. This study employed a descriptive method using primary data collected from a sample of 30 respondents. Respondent characteristics included age, education, and occupation.
The study results regarding mothers' knowledge of prenatal yoga in Palopat Pijorkoling Village showed that 22 respondents (73%) had poor knowledge, 6 respondents (20%) had fair knowledge, and 2 respondents (7%) had good knowledge.
Based on the findings, it is recommended that respondents improve their knowledge by seeking information from healthcare professionals through health education sessions or other media sources.
